Self Adhesive Velcro fastenings work by using two different layers that are connected together when hooks on one side connect with loops on the other. The bind is surprisingly strong once the two sides are pressed together and fastenings of this nature can be opened and closed many times. As well as being used on items of clothing and footwear, other uses can be found for the
Self Adhesive Velcro as well. Sturdy straps can be bought that incorporate hook and loop materials and they can be used as effective cable ties. In our house Velcro is often put to good use and I always keep a pack or two in one of the kitchen drawers because I never know when it`s going to come in handy.
